January.

2012, why you no want to open up your arms to me? That's how I felt about the new year but now I don't care. The beginning of this year has been not so easy to tell you the truth but it's all about trying to find the silver lining.

It began with a close friend's family emergency.

Then it was starting on the wrong foot this school semester. (I read the schedule wrong.)

Then it was my boyfriend's car accident. Yes, car accident. Car = totaled. Him = totally fine.

To tell you the truth, that day is a blur to me. I hated so much that he had to go through that but I'm so grateful to have him get out of that without one scratch. Thank you God. Thank you seat belts. Thank you air bags. AND thank you car insurance for giving him a nice check on that car. Ca-ching. Phew!

Yes, it was a minor setback for him but I am sure that everything happens for the best and today, he is a proud owner of 2012 Camry. His dream car.

But me and my silliness with the school schedule.....Ay yai yai yai yai...

You know when you see something and your mind switches letters and numbers, that's me. Is that dyslexia? Yea, I think I have that.

Then there are these houses catching fire. I'm just happy that none of the families were hurt.

Lessons to be learned:

  1. Materials, Ex: Car, House, etc.... do not matter as long as the people that make you smile are perfectly fine.
  2. Have good car insurance.
  3. Double check  Triple check EVERYTHING.
  4. Reassure everyone who is a having a hard time that everything is OK and is going to be OK.
  5. Be thankful every day. Every day.

Quote of the day....

"Music does not judge your emotions, it evokes them to be released....."

3 years ago yesterday....

I met a little angel that I hold so dear to my heart. She is hairy, has four paws, and she greets me with a lick.

Duchess.

Oh how I adore her, I can't get enough of her and I love how she loves me too. I know it.

Three years of

Knocked over things.
Puppy eyes.
Whimpers when she has nightmares.
Deadly farts.
Unrealistic tug-of-war games.
Potbelly.
Mornings with her butt on my face.
Mornings with her farting on my face.
Worried eyes when I start coughing uncontrollably.
Patient days of her waiting for me to walk her.
Happy barks.
Chewed up 90 dollars strappy shoes. Once. But once is enough.
100 bones.
1,000 treats.
10,000 pictures.
Nights of unexpected diarrhea.
Nights of heating me up during cold winter nights.
Summer days where all you hear is her pants.
Greetings at 3 a.m. at night.
 ............

Dear God, give me more of those. I'd like to keep her forever and three more years. ♥♥♥

2012

Another year, another day, and patiently awaiting the memories that I will cherish.

Iovan and I took Duchess back to his house. She's adorable and I love her. She met Xavier, Iovan's nephew, for the first time, and I'm impressed at how well she reacted to a little 1 year old.

She's a good puppy.

Today, kitty dug her nail deep in my finger and it hurt like hell. I want to hurt kitty so bad but I love that damn fur ball too much to actually do any harm to him. He's gonna pay for it some way. DECLAWED!

So new year resolutions is to make a resolution every day and have accomplished it. Nothing like starting fresh every day and remembering that nothing is impossible but possibly hard and positively attainable.

Goodnight, tomorrow I must start work after a four day vacation. Ouch. Must remember not to vacation for too long. Must do it often but not for too long.

2011 memories

2011 will be over soon and everyone is racking their brain over their new year resolutions.

Start them today, hey, start them tomorrow. Big or small, put a challenge out there for yourself and believe, work hard, and never quit to achieve them.

This year has been full of so many good memories, and the bad memories never seem to far behind but as always, I make sure that I make those good memories outshine the bad all the time.

In no particular order, this what I have loved most about this year.

1. A friendship grew between Julia and I, and I'm very appreciative of it. She is a shinning star.

2. My love for Florence and the Machine grew fonder.

3. I went to her concert with my bestest cousin.

4. Went to the best wedding ever, Lesa and Adam's.

5. That wedding also has one of my very best memories. Dancing shoeless and singing at the top of my lungs to "Dog Days Are Over" with Lesa.

6. I got my braces taken off. FREEDOM!

7. Iovan and I went to one of the most beautiful places on planet earth. Niagara Falls.

8. I got to hold hands with that sweet man as we watched the Falls from a boat. Letting the mist hit our faces.

9. We added to our family.

10. I had my wisdom teeth taken off. I don't know why that is one of my best memories, but I sure did enjoy all the apple sauce and ice cream.....mmmmmmm

I could probably go on with my memories, there are so many more, but I sincerely hold these very close to my ♥

I can't wait to see what 2012 brings. I'm crossing my fingers for happiness, love, peace, and new adventures!

little valuable lessons 3

Be amazed by almost everything!

Sometimes, you need to drop it like it's hot.

If you don't understand a situation, try seeing it a different way.

Don't judge people. You don't know them at all. Not even your family members

Eat and drink as much as you can. You never know when you might be isolated in some forest, desert, or room for days. (I've been watching too many thriller movies where people get into accidents and have no access to food or water. I'm freaked out)

When you embark into a new adventure, be careful. :)

Don't feel bad if you find something a little funny in a sad situation. Life's too short to be too sad.

You know what is important in a relationship other than trust? Laughter.

Every once in a while...hide somewhere and take a nap.

Little Bullies.

I always think that kids words can hurt you more than an adult. They are so blunt and have no filter and they don't think of the repercussions. They make fun of each other and put each other down. It's saddens me when I hear that kids are getting bullied so much that they have to revert to suicide.

Why?

Where are the kids learning all this hate? Why isn't anyone doing anything about this? Where the [****] are the parents?

Exactly. Parents. I always think that kids learn hate where they spend their time the most. Home. Parents bully each other in front of kids. Parents can't afford a babysitter and they turn to the number one babysitter nowadays, TV, where so much stupid crap is being shown. Second babysitter, Internet. Then they go to school and learn more hate from other kids.

Now, I'm not saying that this bullying has just showed up out of nowhere, come on now, racism, sexism, and every other -ism out there has been in this world since humanity can remember, but it has only gotten stronger. Nowadays, anyone can sit behind a screen and type the meanest and cruelest things to ANYONE in the world.

And now, little kids are dying. Their minds have not developed to be strong enough, so they think that the easy way out is the wrong one.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm perfect, even writing about this, I can remember how I've put people down before, yesterday, now.

We do it constantly, on Facebook, with friends, and even not on purpose.

Remember when that Rebecca Black song came out? How many millions of statuses on Facebook popped out about how much she sucks and couldn't stand listening to it one more time. That is you being a bully.

Oh you were stating your opinion? How bout, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

If you are parent, please teach your children the importance of not bullying and not being a victim of it because what if it was your child being bullied? What if he/she grows up with the lowest self-esteem because one little child bullied him/her so much to the point of damage?

And if you are not a parent, you are definitely a sister, brother, cousin, friend, etc...

Change the world to a better place where little kids can actually have a chance to grow.
